Vernon Altman - Chairman of the Board

Vernon Altman is a Senior Partner of Bain & Company, a leading international consulting firm. Mr. Altman joined Bain at its founding in 1973, founded a number of its major offices and practices, including the West Coast practice, and leads the company's Telecommunications practice and the company's Full Potential Transformation practice. In addition to his responsibilities at Bain, Mr. Altman served as a Senior Vice President of Cisco Systems, Inc. Early in his career, Mr. Altman held technical positions at General Electric and Honeywell.

Mr. Altman received Bachelor's and Master's degrees in electrical engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and a Master's in management from MIT's Sloan School.

Liping Fan - Director

Liping Fan is the Administrative Partner and CFO of Steamboat Ventures. Liping has 19 years of finance, accounting and portfolio management experience. Liping currently serves on the boards of Baynote, RazorGator,  and Vobile. Her prior boards include Kapow Software, acquired by Kofax, Zettics, and Photobucket Corporation.

Prior to Steamboat, Liping held various positions at RWI Ventures, ePhysician, Merck & Company and Goldman Sachs. Liping received an MBA in Finance and an MS in Accounting from Binghamton University.

Dave Liu - Director

Dave Liu is Co-Founder and COO of EVA Automation, a technology company developing a connected device company. He is also CEO of Liucrative Endeavors, a strategic consulting and investment firm to high growth companies and President of La Mesa Capital, an investment firm specializing in public and private technology companies. He is Strategic Consultant to Jefferies, a division of Leucadia National Corporation (NYSE: LUK), where he was previously Managing Director and Co-Head of Internet and Digital Media Investment Banking practice. He has invested and serves on the boards of five technology companies and has completed over 100 transactions representing more than $10 billion in value. He was either invested or worked with numerous companies in the technology sector including aQuantive, Criteo, Dotomi, Efficient Frontier, Internet Brands, Yahoo!, and Yelp. He holds an MBA degree from Harvard Business School and two BSE degrees from the University of Pennsylvania.

Yangbin Wang - Director and CEO

Prior to founding Vobile, Yangbin was the CTO of Onewave Technologies following the acquisition of the IPTV business of YZTECH by Onewave in 2004. He was the Founder and CEO of YZTECH, a leading IPTV technology provider in China famous for the landmark deployment of its IPTV platform by Hangzhou Netcom/WASU. It was the first and largest commercial IPTV service offering in China. Previously, Yangbin was the Founder and CEO of EnjoyWeb, which pioneered the time-shift delivery of video contents via broadband Internet. In addition, Yangbin was Director of Software Architecture at Oak Technology's Broadband Consumer Group. He also participated in several startups. At the outset of his career, he was a Research Engineer at Compression Labs (CLI) and General Instrument (GI). Yangbin earned a BS degree from Zhejiang University in China and an MSEE degree from the University of Florida, Gainesville. He also completed executive education program at the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

J. David Wargo - Director

David Wargo is the president of Wargo & Company, Inc., a private investment company specializing in the communications industry. He was also a Co-Founder of New Mountain Capital, LLC and a Co-Founding member of Act II Partners, LP, and founding member of Peter’s Creek Entertainment, LLC. He is a Director of Discovery Communications, Chairman of the Nominating Committee and a member of the Audit Committee. He served as a Director of Discovery Holding Company prior to Discovery Communications becoming a public company. He is also a Director and member of the Audit and Nominating and Governance Committees of Liberty Global, Inc., and a Director and Chairman of the Compensation Committee of Strayer Education, Inc. He is also a Director of Liberty Broadband, Inc. where he is Chairman of the Compensation Committee and a member of the Audit and Nominating and Governance Committees, and a Director of Liberty Trip Advisor Holdings, where he is Chairman of the Nominating and Governance Committees and a member of the Audit and Compensation Committees. He is also a former Director of Liberty Media Corporation, United Video Satellite Group, Liberty Digital, TV Guide International, Gemstar-TV Guide International, Inc., OnCommand Corp, OpenTVCorporation, Fun Technologies, Inc., and a former member of the Investment Committee of TCI Technology Ventures, Inc.

Early in his career, Mr. Wargo was a Managing Director and Senior Analyst at The Putnam Companies, a Partner at Marble Arch Partners, a Senior Vice President at Marble Arch Partners, an Assistant Director of Research at State Street Research & Management Company, a Partner at State Street Research & Management Company, and a Security Analyst at State Street Research & Management Company.

Mr. Wargo holds a BS degree in Physics and a MS degree in Nuclear Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and a MS degree from MIT's Sloan School of Management. He is also a member of Sigma Xi, the honorary Scientific Research Society.

Gideon Yu - Director

Gideon Yu is a technology and sports investor and operator. Most recently, Gideon was President and still remains co-owner of the San Francisco 49ers. He is the first President of color of any team in the history of the National Football League. Prior to his career in sports entertainment, Gideon was the Chief Financial Officer of both Facebook and YouTube, the first two Internet companies to achieve one billion active users. Gideon was also a General Partner at Khosla Ventures, where he led the firm’s founding investment in Jack Dorsey’s Square and was the company’s first outside board member. Gideon has also held senior positions at Sequoia Capital and Yahoo!, where as Treasurer and SVP of Finance, he executed over 30 acquisitions / investments, including Alibaba, Overture, and Flickr. Gideon received his MBA from Harvard and BS from Stanford.

Tiemin Zhao - Director

Tiemin Zhao is a Partner at IPV Capital based in Silicon Valley USA. He has 20+ years of R&D, manufacturing, and management experience in US high-tech industry and served in executive or senior management roles at 7 startup companies, most recently as General Manager at Amprius USA. He currently serves as Board Member or Observer at four portfolio companies. He has also been an angel investor and advised numerous young entrepreneurs and seed/early-stage technology startups. He has served as Director of HYSTA Entrepreneur Program.

Tiemin holds a PhD EE from Stanford University and BS/MS CS from Peking University.
